Tirana and its citizens continue to support Ukraine and its citizens who have been suffering from Russian aggression for a month.
Mayor Veliaj has published some photos from the newest mural in the capital, where a young man is painted with the symbols of the Ukrainian flag while shooting with slingshots. But instead of stone, the artist from the capital has symbolically placed a rose, conveying the message of peace.
Meanwhile, after naming the street “Free Ukraine” and placing flags on the lighting poles, the Municipality of Tirana has painted the sidewalks near the Serbian and Russian embassies with the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
We remind you that on this street is the headquarters of the Russian Embassy and that of Serbia.
An awareness campaign has been launched in the capital by the Municipality of Tirana to collect aid in support of the Ukrainian people who have been facing Russian aggression for days. In addition to the organizations for collecting contributions, there have been many citizens who have individually provided financial assistance, food or even clothing. All aid collected is sent in support of the Ukrainian civilian population affected by Russian aggression.
