The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj this Sunday welcomed in the capital the counterpart of Prishtina, the newly elected mayor of the Municipality, Përparim Rama.
In his official reception, Veliaj said that today opens a new page of cooperation between the two capitals, while he presented the mayor of Prishtina with the Key of Tirana.
“We have a tradition in this city, for those we consider special friends, family people, and as you do with any brother or sister you have in the family, always give them a key to show them that the door is always open. open, you are at home. On behalf of the city of Tirana, on behalf of the Municipal Council, on behalf of all citizens who enjoy so much love and respect for Prishtina, I want to donate this key to the city of Tirana, as a sign of an open door, a love great and a cooperation that awaits us “.
On the other hand, Mayor Përparim Rama said that he sees this key not only as the city, but as a key to many doors that can be opened between the two countries.
“This passion for our cities, for our people, has always been like that in the discussions we have had and now that we are in charge of the two largest Albanian capitals, this key is of great importance to me personally.”
The two counterparts also inspected one of the most important technology investments in the capital, the Pyramid of Tirana, which will soon become the largest digitalization center in the Balkans.
