The Tirana court has decided to suspend the AFF race throughout the country until the violations are reviewed.
The ALF cannot hold elections without reviewing appeals in court. Duke, Shulku and Kokëdhima are suspended until a decision is made.
The Executive Committee of the AFF and the Verification Commission of the AFF have also been suspended for the elections that were expected to be held on March 2 for the selection of the president of the AFF and the members of the Executive Committee.
We recall that the Court of Tirana has given the right to the Municipality of Tirana, in the lawsuit that this institution, as a shareholder in the Tirana Football Club, has filed against the head of the Albanian Football Federation (AFF), Armand Duka.
Veliaj sued the leaders of the Albanian Football Federation for abuse of office, forgery of documents and computer network.
As a shareholder of the Tirana Football Club, Veliaj accused Ilir Shulku, acting Secretary General of the Albanian Football Federation, and Ardian Haçi, acting Secretary General of the Tirana Football Association, of manipulating the elections for the head of the Tirana Regional Football Association.
The ALF stated that the accusations of the Municipality of Tirana were related to an attempt to destabilize the election race.
