The capital has returned to normalcy. Immediately after the end of the Conference League final on Wednesday evening, the employees of the cleaning sector in the Municipality of Tirana started collecting garbage and items left behind by the fans of the finalist teams.
“We had a lot of work these days, they were busy. We cleaned up last night at dinner, all night, even this morning. We split into tours. “There were more beer cans and water bottles thrown on the ground.”
The pedestrian area that turned into a small Netherlands, is now quiet and accessible to all citizens. In “Skënderbej” square there is still a big screen where citizens will have the opportunity to attend the Champions League final. The stadium, which was closed the day before for security reasons, after receiving the fans with dignity in the grand final, has already returned to its daily routine.
