Opponents of epidemiological measures and mandatory vaccination will block the center of Vienna again today. Police said 32 rallies were reported for Saturday, seven of which were not approved.
The largest protest ever was organized by the Austrian Freedom Party (FPO), whose leader, Herbert Kikl, as announced, should address the gathering.
It is Kikl and the FPO who oppose the antiCOVID measures, while the party chairman in his press conferences has questioned the treatment against the crown. The police will provide protest with about 1400 uniformed members.
As in the last two, police officers from other provinces will be brought back to Vienna. Due to the attacks on health facilities, which have been warned through social networks, the provision of critical infrastructure, including hospitals, will be strengthened.
Due to the antiCOVID protests, Vienna is blocked for several hours every Saturday, while during the protests certain participants regularly attack the police. Among the participants there are, respectively, the extreme right, who abuse such rallies.
