Nearly 13,000 Ukrainian civilians were evacuated through humanitarian corridors on Saturday, and Ukraine’s deputy prime minister.
This number of evacuees is almost twice as high as the day before.
Through a message posted online, Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said stuff no one has managed to leave the besieged city of Mariupol.
She blamed Russian forces for not evacuating residents of this city in southern Ukraine.
Earlier, Moscow accused Ukrainian forces of deliberately not allowing the citizens of Mariupol to be evacuated.
Local authorities in Mariupol have said that a convoy of humanitarian aid and buses to evacuate citizens left Zaporizhia about eight hours ago, but still have no information on where this convoy is currently located.
