Already stripped of the president’s suit, Meta did not spare the accusations against the government, which he said has only one agenda, that of anti-nationals. However, even for Ilir Meta, corruption remains a major problem for the country.
“We opened a new path for a new political force like the Freedom Party. I thank the intellectuals who have joined since the first evening, like Agim Nesho. All those who think they cannot remain indifferent are welcome, indifference is the main ally of kleptocracy. Now we have to start from work, fortunately now we no longer have the suit that brought us the question: Is a president allowed to talk like that? Now we are without a jacket, today until the day of triumph.
The main enemy of freedom today is corruption. It is this corruption that has aggravated the situation of every citizen. Even yesterday, the Balkan barometer found that 59% of citizens have the biggest problem with the economic situation.
Citizens were not supported at all by their government during the pandemic. All the heavy burden of these crises has undoubtedly been paid by simple Albanian families.
Meanwhile, what is even more clear and unacceptable, the government continues to pay for incinerators, predatory concessions, takes on debt to support the oligarchs. This serious situation is also proven by the most recent scandals.
I call on Rama to remove the party treasurer from customs, and the gang of patron Nazis from customs and taxes. This government, which only aims to steal and rob, makes the future even more hopeless for the citizens. This government has only an anti-national agenda.” said Meta.
