The eight families participating in this draw were happy that they will soon enter the new apartments.
Manza was one of the areas most damaged by the earthquake, so it was decided to build a new neighborhood with 9 buildings to house the families who were left without a home as a result of the natural disaster.
In the meantime, the housing of nearly 14 families living in containers in Manez is still unresolved.
These families lived in the building of the former mine hotel and due to an ownership problem of the building where they lived, they have not yet been included in the lists of beneficiaries of the new apartments.
Their situation requires a special treatment from the municipality and the Durrës City Council, which must make a decision for the housing of these residents in the new neighborhood, which is equipped with service facilities and sports fields, to offer a better quality good life in the community.
In the new neighborhood of Manza, 226 apartments have been built in 9 buildings for the families severely damaged by the earthquake, for the distribution of which a public lottery was held divided into several phases.
