Two people with initials DT, 62 years old, resident of Frakull and SM, 47 years old, resident of Cakran in Fier, were arrested after they were eroding the Vjosa river with heavy equipment.
The police operation coded “Clean Year 3” was finalized with the seizure of a self-unloading truck, a tractor with a trailer and a mini-excavator, which served to erode and take inerts, in the river bed.
The perpetrators are accused of “damaging habitats in protected environmental areas”, while the materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of Fier, for further action.
