Struck by the Section for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking in DVP Tirana, in cooperation with the Rinas Border Police, another case of criminal activity in the field of providing assistance for illegal border crossing.
1 foreign citizen is handcuffed, 3 other citizens are prosecuted.
Pursuant to the plan of measures to prevent and crack down on the illegal activity of providing assistance to foreign nationals for illegal border crossing and their transit in the Albanian territory, destined for EU countries, the specialists for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking in DVP Tirana, in cooperation with the Rinas Border Police Commissariat, following the police operation codenamed “THE INVITATION”, based on the information provided in the operational way, have hit a case of this criminal activity, arresting in flagrante delicto the citizen:
AB, 49 years old, resident in Vaqarr, Tirana, for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing” committed in collaboration;
Citizens FB (D), 43 years old, HD, 67 years old and AH (D), resident in Vaqarr, Tirana, were also prosecuted.
Investigations have shown that these citizens, in cooperation with other persons, mainly in Egypt, provided fictitious invitations for various foreign persons, mainly from Egypt, to come to Albania, with the justification for tourist purposes, whom they were then provided with assistance to leave our country illegally for EU countries.
Work continues to identify other persons involved in this criminal activity.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tirana Judicial District, for further procedural actions, for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing” committed in cooperation.
