997 citizens have been fined in the last 24 hours after violating measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Most of them, more specifically 983 of them, were fined with the amount of 3,000 ALL, for not wearing a protective mask.
Police structures, in addition to fulfilling the functional tasks of preventing, detecting and combating illegality, continue controls throughout the country, to monitor the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
During the last 24 hours, the General Patrols have identified and punished with an administrative measure of 3,000 ALL, 833 citizens who have been ascertained without protective masks.
The Traffic Police Services have punished with the same administrative measure, 150 citizens who traveled in private vehicles with persons with whom they had no family ties or in public transport vehicles, without putting on protective masks.
During the controls, the Police services have identified 3 entities that exercised their activity in violation of security protocols. An administrative measure of 1,000,000 ALL has been imposed on the administrator of each subject.
Also, throughout the country were fined with an administrative measure of 10,000 ALL, 11 citizens who were found moving on foot after 20:00.
Pursuant to anti-Covid measures, the State Police appeals to all citizens and drivers to respect the curfew, put on a mask and maintain social distance, while businesses, bars and restaurants to respect safety protocols and closing hours, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
