The CIA has executed the criminal decision given by the court of Fier for some police officers of the chain of command and in charge of the Mallakastër Police Commissariat, who are suspected of allowing the cultivation of cannabis plots.
The notification made by the CIA states that the head of the Crimes section at the Mallakastër Police Commissariat, the deputy commissar at this commissariat, as well as three inspectors were sentenced to ‘prison arrest’.
Also, in the framework of this criminal proceeding, the Court of First Instance Fier has imposed security measures “Obligation to report to the judicial police” for three other police officers.
The CIA announces that after the investigations carried out, near the Vjosa River Bridge, in Poçem of Mallakastra, several plots cultivated with narcotic plants were identified, an event for which 3 citizens were previously arrested in flagrante delicto.
These police officers are suspected of abusing their duty during the period June – September 2021 by allowing or favoring the criminal activity of some citizens previously arrested by the Fier District Prosecutor’s Office for cultivating narcotic plants.
From the investigation of this criminal proceeding it has become possible to provide evidence where several parcels were found in different open places and planted in some areas of the administrative unit Poçem, Mallakastër.

– Inspector IB, acting SPZ at the Mallakastër Police Station
Security measures for this criminal proceeding were issued following the criminal proceedings for the criminal offenses of “Cultivation of narcotic plants” and “Abuse of duty”, where after investigations carried out, near the Vjosa River Bridge, in Poçem of Mallakastra, Several parcels cultivated with narcotic plants were identified, an event for which 3 citizens were previously arrested in flagrante delicto.
