The expertise of the Swiss institute on the death of Vetëvendosje activist Astrit Dehari has arrived in Kosovo.
The new expertise says that there was no DNA other than that of Astrit Dehari in the objects that were found near him at the time of death.
“DNA analysis, from objects that were in contact with the deceased, Astrit Dehari, in moments close to death, (razor blade, pen tied with a shoelace and a piece of metal, did not show DNA profile except for that of Astrit Dehari “, ascertains the expertise report.
Even the toxicological blood tests found that in Dehar’s body there was only caffeine and not ethanol.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo Special Prosecution says it will continue investigations. “Based on the findings of this report, the Special Prosecution will continue to investigate this case and will take all necessary actions.” it is stated in the notification of the prosecution.
Astrit Dehari died on November 5, 2016 in the detention center in Prizren. He and several other LVV activists were being investigated for organizing and carrying out the attack on the Kosovo Assembly.
Since then, VV has raised suspicions that Dehari was killed, while the Basic Prosecution of Prizren found that it was a suicide and then the Special Prosecution took over the investigation.
