The problems of modern society, observing the world from the point of view of women is the theme of the play “Three Winters”, which will be shown at the Metropol Theater.
Written by Croatian author Tena Stivicic, the work follows the fates of four generations of women in a family during a turbulent century.
It combines three historical periods of transition that Croatia has gone through, dictatorship, the advent of democracy and the journey to the EU, events that are naturally related to the Albanian reality.
With the intervention of time, coming to the same stage from different actors, the director Rozi Kostani brings three long winter nights, in three historical periods with decisive events that change the course of events and the lives of the characters.
Strong and brave women on stage are interpreted by well-known actresses such as Yllka Mujo, Luiza Xhuvani, Elia Zaharia, while Marjeta Ljarja climbs on stage for the first time in 15 years.
As the author says, this work is a journey, together with the personal and political factors behind this journey, which lead the plot of “Three Winters”.
The play, which opens the new artistic season at the Metropol Theater, will have its premiere on February 24-27, at 19:00.
