Wintering birds in our country will be counted this weekend in 33 wetlands of the country, through the census that will be organized by the National Agency of Protected Areas.
This census takes place simultaneously in 146 countries around the world. Measurements have shown that from year to year the number and species of birds increase, according to the NEA, giving a new dimension to tourism.
On the dates January 15-16, 2022, the International Waterfowl Census will take place.
The purpose of this census is to verify through inventory according to the relevant methodology of the populations of these birds according to the respective species, in all 33 coastal wetlands, natural and artificial lakes, estuaries, swamps, etc.
