Lea Ypi with “Free” is the winner of the Lumo Skëndo award. She was selected among five finalists. Fatos Lubonja with “Jetë burgu”, Fatmir Toçi with “Arbëreshët”, Rubens Shima with “Posteri shqiptare” and Kujtim Shala with the book “Zbulimi i Zef Pllumi”.
The writer and pedagogue of political theory highlighted the controversy that her book has received in its place.
According to her, the strongest connection between her book and Mit’hat Frashëri’s work is moral freedom. This freedom is the essence of the search for human dignity, regardless of the institutional reality in the societies we live in.
Uran Butka, the head of the jury stressed the importance of this award. And that to choose the winner the voting was conducted several times.
This award was restored by the National Book and Reading Center and focuses on bringing Mit’hat Frashëri back to attention. But also to have an appreciation for the best journalistic or research work.
