Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has told the world not to underestimate the significant risks of a nuclear conflict.
Interviewed by Russian state television, he said that the supply of weapons to Ukraine by NATO “essentially” means that the Western alliance is indirectly involved in the war with Russia.
Asked about the importance of avoiding World War III and whether the current situation is comparable to the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, Lavrov said:
“The risks are now significant. I would not like to assess these risks artificially. Many would love this thing. The risk is serious, real. We should not underestimate it”.
“NATO is, in essence, indirectly involved in the war with Russia. “War means war.”Lavrov added.
