Well-known scientist and pedagogue, Rifat Gjota has passed away at the age of 82.
Gjota was one of the oldest professors at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Prishtina.
The Albanian explorer was born in Peja on May 5, 1939 in a well-known craft family.
He completed primary school and gymnasium in his hometown, while in 1965 he graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Skopje.
Gjota also completed his master’s degree in 1977 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Zagreb, and in 1985 he was at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Prishtina.
For over twenty years he worked on the invention of the electric motor, which saved electricity at a considerable rate.
Also in 2005 he published a book entitled “Complementary-Complex Electric Machines”.
