The head of the World Food Program, David Beasley, warned that the conflict in Ukraine could boost global food prices and have a catastrophic impact on the world’s poorest.
Ukraine and Russia are the two main exporters of basic food products and the war has already hit production.
Beasley said the situation risks causing hunger among more people.
