UN disarmament chief Izumi Nakamitsu said the United Nations was not aware of any biological weapons program in Ukraine.

Nakamitsu raised another concern about the war situation in Ukraine, related to the safety of nuclear power plants in Ukraine, where he also called for immediate measures to avoid problems.
According to her, an accident involving nuclear facilities in Ukraine could have serious consequences for public health and the environment. She also said that the possibility of an accident caused by the failure of the reactor power supply, or the inability to ensure regular maintenance is increasing day by day.
