Two cultural monuments, only 30 minutes away from the capital are left in oblivion and in danger of damage. They are located on the old Arbri Street and date back to the Ottoman period.
In the cycle Villages of Albania on Top Channel this Saturday, the history of these two monuments was told.
Kurcaj Bridge is the first. It used to be the only connecting link between Kruja and Tirana. From there it looks fantastic. Although half-ruined today it continues to attract the attention of many foreign visitors who walk this road to the other bridge of Abdyl Aga.
This old road served the connection between the Albanian territories by connecting Shkodra, Lezha and Dibra, through the Malesia of Tirana and that of Mat. Even today, after several centuries, the bridges that are above it continue to be used by passers-by in the same areas as in the Middle Ages when it served caravans.
