The court hearing of the former judge of Kruja, Enkelejda Hoxha has been postponed to January 11 due to health reasons.
We recall that the Special Prosecution has requested 3 years and 6 months in prison for Enkelejda Hoxha, reducing 1/3 of the sentence.
Earlier, the Special Anti-Corruption Court accepted the former judge’s request for an abbreviated trial.
During the operation to arrest Enkelejda Hoxha, other persons involved in the corruption scheme were arrested, where the ‘strongmen’ were released.
For these, SPAK has requested another four years in prison for the lawyer Aldo Tabaku, who intervened to change the decision and three years in prison for the Secretary of the Court, Manuela Mallkuçi.
Also, two years in prison for the convict Saimir Petani who demanded release from prison for payment and his brother Bledar Petani, who would give 12 thousand euros to former judge Hoxha.
SPAK is also seeking a sentence of two years in prison for the other detainees Altin Skëndaj, Gazmir and Gentjan Nezaj and Isuf Tanezi, while for Trëndafile Fagu it has requested nine months in prison.
Former judge of Kruja, Enkeleida Hoxha is accused of the criminal offense “Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other justice officials.”
On February 11 this year, the former judge of the Court of Kruja, Enkelejda Hoxha was arrested along with other employees, among them lawyer Aldo Tabaku, secretary Manuela Mallkuçi, Gazmir Nezaj, Isuf Tanuzin, Bledar Petani, Sajmir Petani and Altin Skëndaj, Frangj and Migena Skënderi, after they had set up a scheme through which they reduced their sentences or were released from prison convicted of serious criminal offenses against money.
Former judge, Enkelejda Hoxha is known for her decisions where many convicts have been released from prison, including those sentenced to life, such as Endrit Dokle, Genc Tafili, or Hekuran Billa, killed in Tirana.
The judge of Kruja, who has not yet appeared in Vetting, released from prison Indrit Doklen, sentenced to life imprisonment, as a member of the Durrës gang, accused of several murders, injuries and other crimes.
