Several Afghan intelligence agents seized and dumped 3,000 liters of alcohol in a canal in Kabul.
The move was argued by Afghan intelligence as an attempt to eliminate the sale of alcohol by the new Taliban regime.
The images were sent to the media by the General Directorate of Intelligence, which in a message on Twitter states that “Muslims should take seriously the renunciation of the production and sale of alcohol.”
“God has called alcohol something ugly and requires Muslims to be seriously distanced from alcohol. The Prophet of Islam has cursed all those who produce and distribute it. Alcohol consumption is bad, even worse for our country from the evils it brings“, Says Sheikh Zahorullah, religious leader.
The Afghan intelligence agency involved in the operation says three alcohol dealers have been arrested.
