Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka will miss England’s next friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast after testing positive for Covid-19.
Saka had been isolated from the rest of the squad at St George’s Park since Wednesday and has now returned home. England manager Southgate has no plans to call up a replacement for the 20-year-old.
The representative of the “Three Lions” plays with Switzerland on Saturday and with the Ivory Coast on Tuesday. Both challenges will take place at Wembley.
Saka has posted a message on social networks through which he shows that he is very upset that he has left the gathering.
“So support the boys from home this weekend and I look forward to coming back soon, doing what I love,” he wrote on Twitter.
