The search for the body of 43-year-old Tofik Xhika, who is suspected of drowning in the waters of the Drin River, continues this Sunday.
Xhika had gone fishing in the Drin River and has not returned home. For eight days in a row, family members, area residents and police forces have been searching but to no avail.
During the two days, the RENEA divers also searched, but due to the numerous inflows of the Drin River and the turbid water, they withdrew.
In these conditions, the family members have privately taken two pigeons to conduct research.
Family members and residents have not stopped searching even in the first days of the new year 2022. Today, the family members are again asking for the help of the state, to search for the body of the 43-year-old.
