The search for the body of 43-year-old Tofik Xhika, who is suspected to have drowned in the waters of the Drin River, continues.
Xhika had gone fishing in the Drin River and has not returned.
For 8 days in a row, family members, residents of the area and the police forces have been searching, but to no avail. For 2 days in a row, the RENEAS pigeons also searched, but due to the numerous inflows of the Drin River and the turbid water, they withdrew, leaving only the family members to search. In these conditions, the family members have privately taken 2 pigeons to conduct research, but to no avail.
Family members and residents have not stopped searching even in the first days of the new year. Today, the family members are again asking for the help of the state, to search for the body of the 43-year-old.
