Shocking footage of security cameras showed the British media today, families punching each other in the middle of the road, apparently after a conflict or beer session in the area’s bar.
The argument broke out when five elderly family members had gathered for a drink.
But in a scandalous degeneration of the situation, they start punching each other so that some of them end up unconscious on the sidewalk.
The footage was recorded on the pavement outside the Long Pull pub in Wrexham in northwest England, where 39-year-old John Rogers punches 61-year-old Gavin Randles, knocking him unconscious twice.
In front of her Michael Hughes, 46, is seen being punched in the back of the head by a woman, and then he punches Rogers.
The media said the vulgar incident took place last summer, which also involved women Samantha Hughes, 43, and Yvonne Moore, 54.
During the fight, a food distributor on a bicycle is seen trying to separate the accused, but without success.
All five accused are from Wrexham, and are on trial.
Judge Rhys Roelands said: “We have seen other cases of fights like this but we know the cause was a subtle argument which cannot be made public.”
“It can be summed up as a family conflict that got out of control, in unprecedented street violence.
Rogers was given an eight-month suspended prison sentence and fined £1,000.
He said he was remorseful and ashamed of his behavior.
At the end of the incident, John Rogers elbowed Randles in the face, knocking him unconscious.
Randles was fined £200, in addition to costs.
Moore was fined £242.
Michael Hughes was fined £583.
Samantha Hughes received a 12 month community service order and £120 fine.
