Yemeni rebels regularly carry out rocket and drone strikes in Saudi territory, saying they are in response to Saudi-led coalition attacks on Yemen.
On Friday, the coalition said it had intercepted two drone and missile attacks by the Hothi group in Saudi Arabia.
Yemen has been ravaged by fierce fighting since the Iranian-backed Houthi rebel group invaded most of the country in 2014, toppled the government and sent it into exile, before returning to the port city of Aden in 2016.
The Saudi-led coalition, which aims to overthrow the Yemeni government, has exacerbated the situation, causing one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world with nearly 80 percent or about 30 million people in need of humanitarian aid and protection. and more than 13 million at risk of starvation.
