The governor of the Sumy region in northeastern Ukraine has indicated that the Ukrainian army has regained full control of the area.
Dmytro Zhyvytskyy wrote on social media that Russian forces had withdrawn from Sumy, but warned residents not to return before the mines were cleared.
The city, which is close to the Russian border, was the scene of heavy bombardment and fighting at the beginning of the occupation.
