The Royal Palace has announced that Queen Elizabeth ll, this year will not attend the annual garden festivities and will be represented by other family members. He did not provide details about the decision, but said “it will be provided in due course.”
Each summer up to three parties are organized in the Buckingham Palace garden (May 11, 18 and 25), as well as one at the Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh (June 29).
The queen has recently dealt with issues which have forced her to move, which has influenced her withdrawal from several organizations.
Last week, the Queen met the Swiss president in Windsor, after a few days’ break at her Sandringham property in Norfolk.
She celebrated her 96th birthday last month and the 70th anniversary of her ascension to the throne, becoming the first British king or queen with such a long tenure.
According to Sky News, a series of events are taking place throughout the year to mark its historic mandate, culminating in a four-day banking holiday from June 2-5.
