Recently released footage from Uvalde’s school security cameras showed today that police had waited more than an hour before intervening against the mass murderer who was peppering classrooms of innocent children with bullets.
The footage shows 18-year-old Salvador Ramos crashing his car outside Robb Elementary School on the morning of May 24 before entering the building with his AR-15 assault rifle and fatally shooting 19 students and two teachers.
A teacher can be heard saying: “The kids are burning, oh my God, stay down, stay in your classrooms.”
A small boy is then seen looking at Ramos and running away, seemingly unfazed.
The serious footage was shared by the network Austin-American Statesmanand show the killer shooting into classrooms as children and teachers are heard screaming.
Police arrive at the scene just three minutes after the killer, and armed officers are seen advancing on the attacker and laying on the ground.
The Statesman said it has published a reduced version of the 77-minute video showing how the law enforcement intervention was carried out.
“The video shows how armed officers failed to intervene to stop the killer in order to save more children,” the newspaper wrote.
