Erion Veliaj will lead the Socialist Party of Tirana for the next four years.
Mayor Veliaj received the trust of the Presidency of the Socialist Party this afternoon to lead the socialists of Tirana.
The achievements at the head of the Municipality of Tirana and the results in the last elections where he was also the political leader of the district, have convinced the members of the Presidency to continue the good work done with the structures for the next 4 years.
In the parliamentary elections of a year ago, the SP won convincingly in what were considered as bastions of the right, securing 18 mandates in the district of Tirana.
Veliaj reconfirmed this result in the partial local elections of March 6, where as the political leader of the district, he led the socialists to victory in Vorë and Rrogozhinë.
