A massive anti-cannabis operation has been underway for 48 hours in Shkodër, with the aim of cracking down on narcotics.
In the administrative units of Pult and Shale, of the municipality of Shkodër, the operation is continuing in which 250 police forces are involved, which are using 4 drones, binoculars and some GPS, to find the coordinates recorded by the aerial monitoring of the GDF and by Police drones available to DVP Shkodër.
During the operation, 85 coordinates identified by the aerial monitoring of the GDF and control with the drones of the Shkodra Police were checked.
About 4,200 cannabis plants were destroyed that were cultivated in wooded areas and on small plots of 15 to 20 plants.
In cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office at the Shkodër Judicial District Court, work continues to identify, capture and arrest the perpetrators of this criminal activity.
During the last few hours, massive operations have been carried out in Kruja and Mirdita, where as a result 4 citizens have been arrested, suspected of cultivating narcotic plants.
