A 30-year-old physical education teacher in Australia who abused a 14-year-old boy in the school’s storage room has been released from prison 18 months earlier after his sentence was reduced, writes the British network “The Sun”.
The woman had seduced the young man by constantly sending him inappropriate photos and videos before abusing him in the secluded place.
A court in Australia said Smith “asked him to tell her he was beautiful” during several months of juvenile abuse, before being sentenced to three years and ten months in prison.
Her attempts to blame the boy had not convinced police officers and her name has been registered in the national register of juvenile abusers.
But she has already been released from prison after the appellate court reduced her sentence to 18 months, which has caused outrage from the victim’s relatives.
The court was told earlier that the teenager had been ordered by Smith to leave the lesson to “drink something,” with her when she had kissed and touched him inappropriately.
Smith had subsequently ordered him not to “tell” as he would “get into trouble” with police if he disobeyed.
Smith, who was 26 years old at the time of the abuse, had shared intimate photos and videos of herself with the young man and was arrested in February 2019.
The court was told at the time that although Smith had a “borderline character disorder”, she had violated the trust given to her in her duty, turning her into a victim and taking advantage of his weakness. The Sun..
