The PD Parliamentary Group convenes this Tuesday, following the call of Enkelejd Alibeaj.
The MPs who have come so far are Tritan Shehu, Luan Baçi – expelled, Eralda Tase Bano, Edmond Spaho – expelled, Kastriot Piroli, Lefter Geshtenja and Ina Zhupa.
The group meeting is scheduled to be held at 13:00.
The former leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, will not be able to participate because Alibeaj, as the leader of the group, has acquainted Berisha with the measure of expulsion.
In the last meeting, Alibeaj told Berisha that he is ‘non-grata’ and breaks relations with the US, therefore he should not be part of the meetings or the group. But, the measure of exclusion is not the only reason that according to Enkelejd Alibeaj, Sali Berisha should no longer be in the DP. Eye to eye, he explained the reasons why the American decision declaring him ‘non-grata’ undermines the party’s journey.
