Kiev regional police chief Andriy Nebyton published the figures of civilians who have lost their lives from Russian attacks.
So far there are 1,150 civilians who, who had no connection to the army, have lost their lives as a result of the attacks.
“As a result of the clean-up operation and the work of detective teams in the Kiev Region, we have found and examined 1,150 bodies of civilians who were killed and handed them over to forensic medicine.Said Nebyton.
About 50-70% have lost their lives from gun attacks, while the Bucha region has the largest number of victims.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has blamed Russia for the killings and called on Moscow to stop war crimes.
The response has come from the Kremlin which has denied any involvement in the mass killings, while reiterating that baseless allegations about images of civilian bodies on the streets of Bucha are false.
