The new school in Dritas, Veliaj: Ready to receive students in September, the same quality as in the center and in the suburbs of Tirana

Mayor Erion Veliaj visited the progress of the works at this school, which he said will be in even better conditions than the schools in the center of Tirana.

“The principle is that the students of Zall-Herri have a school with the same quality, standard and space as any other school we are doing in Tirana. Many of the schools in the former Block do not even have half of this standard. It is the fate of new schools, for which with the history of post-earthquake reconstruction, we have been given an extraordinary opportunity to build them like anywhere in the west. The first day of school will be a blessed day in September, when the children enter this school and they will really feel like citizens of Tirana”, said Veliaj.

The Mayor said that parents no longer need to send their children to schools far from where they live.

“We have built a school much more beautiful than those in Tirana in the center, so I see no reason why a child should spend hours in traffic to go to school. We will make a call to the Administrative Unit for everyone to register at the school in Dritas – registration is very easy at e-albania. It will be so beautiful that even from Nikla, from the surrounding villages, from Tapiza, they will want to come here because people are attracted by the good and the beautiful”. said Veliaj.

He added that the work will continue at a fast pace, especially during the summer, where the heavy tonnage vehicles will be able to move during the weekend, while the citizens are on the beach resting, so that the school will be ready in September.

“We have authorized that during the weekend, since a large part of Tirana leaves the city to go to the beach, to spend the weekend somewhere, the flow of cars decreases, heavy vehicles move to finish these projects on time. We are also interested in recovering every day, until the construction sites are ready in September, when everyone returns from vacation”explained Veliaj.

SP MP, Xhemal Qefalia, thanked Mayor Veliaj for the promise kept that the investments will be made with the same quality, both in the center and in the suburbs.

“The same standard schools are being built in the suburbs of Tirana. It’s a success story! I thank you especially for your speech because for you citizens are equal, whether they are in the center or in the suburbs. It is a model school”, Cephalia concluded.
