A young pornographic actress has been found dead with her body tied to a tree in a remote forest area in Japan, police said.
23-year-old Rina Arano was last seen alive on June 5 with an unknown man, three days before she was reported missing.
She was caught on security cameras at Ibaraki train station as she got into the car with 33-year-old Hiroyuki Sampei.
Arano’s relatives declared the adult video actress missing after they had several days they could not contact her.
On June 8, police launched a search and found her naked body, tied to a tree on June 14.
She was later identified by friends and family, police said in a statement.
“Rina Arano was found tied to a bare tree, as she had been dead for almost two weeks. We are still working to determine the cause of death. The man who was with her is being questioned.
Her body was found about 1 km away from the villa of the man who had taken her by car from the station.
Sampei, an office worker, was arrested June 14 on suspicion of kidnapping and illegally imprisoning Arano at his villa.
He and the victim had spoken on the network Twitter before taking it from Mito station.
Officers searching the wooded area near the villa found Arano’s body near an abyss a few feet off the road.
Examinations showed that the victim had broken bones in his neck and police believe he drowned.
Investigations are ongoing.
