A woman was gang-raped on a train in Pakistan by faturino and three other men when she was tempted by them to sit in first class.
The young mother of two moved out of her economy seat as she was offered a seat in the air-conditioned wagon for the 600km journey from Multan to Karachi.
But after being placed in the secluded wagon, the ticket controller and three other men raped her, threatening her violently if she tried to leave.
But the woman had managed to escape and reported the incident to the police.
Railway police chief Faisal Shahkar said the serious attack took place on the Bahauddin Zakaria express train last week.
The suspects, according to the police, had fled to “remote areas of Punjab province” to escape arrest, the Pakistani newspaper wrote. Dawn.
But police said they had arrested two of those responsible for the attack on Monday, and a third a day later.
Authorities confirmed after examinations that the woman had been raped.
The attack had caused widespread outrage online as many citizens called for those responsible to be hanged.
The popular local magazine Dawn called the crime horrific and sought answers to the lack of safety on the trains.
According to Western group estimates the number of women raped in Pakistan stands at around 14,000 a year, which means it is at least 11 days.
The development comes as and in neighboring India a woman was arrested after she had paid five men to rape a woman with whom she suspected her husband was cheating on her.
The horrific crime took place in Kondapur, where the wife had lured her “rival” to the attack, which she had filmed and then blackmailed her.
