Competitors from all over the world gathered in Thailand for the transgender contest, after the Covid pandemic suspended the event last year.
Fuschia Anne Ravena from the Philippines was crowned “Miss International Queen”, while the second and third place went to the representatives from France and Colombia.
“My first message to all is to spread love, peace and unity, because that is the most important thing we are doing at the moment and what is happening in the world right now,” Ravena said after receiving the award.
Off-stage, competitors say they hope to make a difference, through their daily lives and work, in the way society views them and end prejudices.
