The Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, met today, at the Presidency of the Assembly, with the US Ambassador, Yuri Kim.
During the meeting they discussed the role and important contribution of the Albanian Parliament under the leadership of the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, in advancing and deepening important reforms, vital for the life of the country, strengthening the rule of law, consolidation of democratic institutions and the fight against corruption and organized crime;
the importance of advancing the vetting process and building an honest justice system, at the service of the citizens; successful cooperation between the United States and Albania in the framework of the UN Security Council and NATO in condemning Russia’s military aggression and supporting Ukraine;
bilateral cooperation to increase security and strengthen peace in the region and beyond; increasing cooperation between the Albanian Parliament and the US Congress, also in the context of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries; promoting and supporting US investment in Albania and other issues of bilateral cooperation.
