The mayor of Kiev, Vitaly Klitschko, vowed to defend Ukraine by personally fighting alongside the military to help repel Russian occupation.
Klitschko, once a former boxer, made the statement on the show “Good Morning Britain”, where he stressed that he would defend the democracy and sovereignty of his country. He said Putin was using military rhetoric and wanted to destroy the state of Ukraine and the sovereignty of its citizens.
“It is already a bloody war. I have no other choice. I have to do this. I will fight, we are experiencing destruction and death. We will defend ourselves in all ways and fight for freedom and democracy“, Stressed Vladimir Klitschko.
Also, the two brothers of Mayor Klitschko, enlisted in the Ukrainian reserve army earlier this month as fear of invasion became inevitable.
