A zoo has been forced to deny the haircut of their main lion in the traditional style, following the success of its casual “tail” style of the 1990s.
The giant feline named Hang Hang – has become the main attraction of Guangzhou garden in China, as the humidity of recent days is believed to have made golden hair look fallen and frozen.
The guardians said that the lion licked his paws and then rubbed his hair in the form of a comb with them, and thus created the unusual style of straight hair.
Hang Hang looked with an unusual appearance in contrast to that of the wild predator he was supposed to be, but became ‘a sensation’ with visitors for his new ‘liberal’, slightly ‘gay’ style of scalp hair.
His flattering hair gave the appearance of a regular ‘fashionista’, while some compared him to ‘Joe Exotic’, of the American series ‘Tiger King’, writes the British Daily Mail.
Other commentators said his hair resembled that of members of the legendary music group ‘The Beatles’.
But visitors accused the staff of deliberately cutting the lion’s hair to look ridiculously similar to the characters in the movies. While officials said that the result came simply as a result of “nature magic”.
A garden spokesman said: “His hair style is simply the magic of nature. We would not dare touch the lion’s hair.
“He now looks like a blonde supermodel with bangs, from the damp Tuesday in Guangzhou.”
But visitors were skeptical of officials’ denials, saying a few days earlier the lion actually had a typical appearance.
One of them wrote online: “I was there two weeks ago and my hair was not like that, this hair style is funny”.
In China, Guangzhou recorded the coldest temperature at 13.7C on May 3, before reaching 32C three weeks later.
Neighboring countries like India and Pakistan have recorded intense heat waves.
