Geri Bello left Albania with her family at the age of 11 and has been living in Italy for 25 years. Since 2015, she started an arduous battle with the two countries to achieve the union of social contributions for those citizens who have worked in both countries.

“We are here for an important moment. As you know, we have completed the negotiations for this new pension agreement. after days of intensive work between the two parties, Albanian and Italian, we have a draft that will regulate the issue of pensions between Albania and Italy,” said the ambassador of Italy in Albania.
“People have made a valuable contribution to both countries with their sacrifice and work, seeing that the two countries have very strong cultural and economic relations. Despite all these, the appropriate financial reward was missing. So this battle started by the Albanian community living in Italy finally sees a solution to the pension issue,” said the senator.
