Five national and international wanted persons have been handcuffed in the last 24 hours in our country.
From the specialists in the Police Commissariat no. 6 Altin Koçeku, 30, was arrested for wreaking havoc on the Tirana-Durrës highway.
He is part of a structured criminal group that committed thefts of safes in businesses and villas on the Tirana-Durrës highway, where on December 12, three citizens were arrested and three others were declared wanted.
Thanks to the cooperation between Interpol Tirana and their counterparts, it became possible to apprehend two citizens declared internationally wanted and extradite them to Albania.
Bilbil Lluka and Eduardo De Francesco arrested respectively in Hungary and Italy were extradited to our country.
Lluka, 36 years old, was declared wanted, after the Court of the Gjirokastra Judicial District, on 25.01.2021, imposed the security measure “Prison arrest”, for the criminal offenses “Threat” and “Illegal possession of weapons”.
While De Francesco, 56 years old, was arrested after the Court of the Tirana Judicial District, with the decision dated 14.02.2019, imposed the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offense “Trafficking in motor vehicles”.
Whereas Gani Abazi, 61 years old, resident in Tepelena, was declared nationally wanted for the criminal offense “Cultivation of narcotic plants, committed in the form of a structured criminal group.” The Court of Appeals for Serious Crimes in Tirana has sentenced him to eight years in prison.
Also in Gjirokastra was arrested Viktor Gaço, 38 years old, declared wanted by the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, for the criminal offense “Theft” committed in collaboration, based on the detention order issued by the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Tirana .
