“North Macedonia must take a decisive step forward” is the message that the president of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, gave through a post on Twitter, immediately after arriving in Skopje, where the French proposal is being discussed in the parliament today, that if is approved, paves the way for the country’s integration into the EU.
“I am happy to be in Skopje today. North Macedonia is a real and reliable partner. The people of RMV have shown their commitment to European values. They deserve to see their country progress towards membership. Now it’s up to RMV to take the decisive step forward,” writes von der Leyen.
In addition to the speech in parliament, during his stay in Skopje, Von der Leyen will meet with President Pendarovski, Prime Minister Kovacevski and Speaker Xhaferi.
