Watercolor artists have chosen the center of Tirana, in front of the National Historical Museum, to realize the giant painting of 15 meters
Urban landscape, portraits and personal emotions, the young artists, where the Austrian artist Herim Kurneri also participates, give color and shape to this common framework.
The Australian artist has selected the emotions of the 15-story building to bring them to life on canvas.
“I come from Austria. I feel very good painting with these new artist friends. I have selected the 15-storey hotel, as it awakens in me the early emotions of living in your country. Exactly 1989 before the dictatorship fell.
I stayed at this hotel for 7 days, I remember a place where there were no cars, where few people moved and why not I wanted to put it on the canvas, while today I come with my car freely. I like the early building not this one under construction. I liked to paint it from the outside, because it has life, people, voices and everything that comes to you instantly interfere in the painting. ”
Young artists consider it a special experience.
The watercolor festival also serves as a fusion of cultures as 200 artists from 40 countries of the world participate. In addition to live paintings, two exhibitions with various works continue in the museum and gallery of Tirana until May 14.
