The former mayor of Vora, Agim Kajmaku, has been handcuffed by the Italian police on charges of cultivating narcotics.
Kajmaku was detained on May 27 after being caught with 20kg of cocaine in the San Benedetto del Tronto area, along with his nephew.
The drugs, which were found hidden inside several flower vases, if sold, would be worth 1 million euros. The former mayor, longtime client at a well-known nursery from Grottamare, after buying the plants, went home with his nephew.
