The summer season has significantly increased the flow at the border points at the entrance of Albania, while only from the sea port of Durrës in the last 24 hours approximately 4300 people have entered.
In order to cope with this increase in the incoming number of tourists and Albanian citizens who are resident in different countries of the European Union, measures have been taken for a faster processing.
The main reason for those who enter the country through the ferries that connect Italy with Albania on the lines Bari-Durrës and Ancona-Durrës is tourism, but there are also other people who come to Albania for work or other reasons.
Three ferries from Bari and Ancona arrived on Sunday, while two ferries from Bari arrived this morning.
In total, during the last two days, about 4300 people and 846 vehicles entered the border point of the country’s largest port.
The flow is expected to increase significantly in the coming weekends of July to reach the flow peak at the beginning of August, which is also known officially as the holiday month.
