The Ministry of Finance has formalized the draft law on fiscal amnesty, a draft which has been submitted for public consultation.
According to the document, this initiative envisages the legalization of undeclared assets, from real estate to money, virtual currencies, valuables and other financial instruments.
The limit for voluntary declaration of assets will be up to 2 million euros which will then be taxed at the rate of 7 to 10%.
This amnesty will benefit the citizens of the Republic of Albania, regardless of whether or not they are tax residents, as well as legal and natural persons, taxpayers in Albania.
According to the draft law, senior officials such as the President, MPs, Prime Minister and other officials will be excluded from this amnesty. representatives of the judiciary, judges and prosecutors, as well as heads of other state institutions.
The amnesty is foreseen to last for a period of 9 months from the entry into force of this draft law.
